the Artist
Brad Chambers, aka Chamby, is the creative force behind Raw Rhythm. You’ve probably already seen his smile greeting you either at the studio, in the surf, or around north county with his better half Ella and their dog Chai.
He found ceramics in high school, deepened his passion during his ceramic courses at university and found ways to share that passion with his community in Leucadia (and now South O.)
Raw Rhythm comes from… well raw… beginnings. Local, DIY, free-flow, watering hole, raw. Those are words people would use to describe the Leucadia studio (quick shot of it to the right ->)
That ethos hasn’t left Brad or Raw Rhythm, it’s just matured a little bit and grown up into a fully fledged ceramics studio to serve the community.
If you know Chamby, you know he’s the first one to try and turn that weird idea he had into an object. Or pick up a nail gun. Or stay late to chat and pack a kiln. Or sit down with you and help you center a lump of clay for the first time.
If you don’t know Chamby, you should come by.
