the Story

Raw Rhythm Ceramics Studio grew from a shared love of creativity, community, and clay, shaped by the unique journey of its founders, Brad and Ella.

Brad’s journey began in high school when he discovered the magic of pottery with his very first wheel. Seeking a more laid-back lifestyle, he moved from South Bay to Leucadia, where he started with just four wheels in his garage and began teaching his friends in hopes to one day open up a Ceramics studio. It was in that creative space that he met Ella.

Ella, who first dabbled in ceramics during high school and continued exploring it in college, brings an organized and innate creative flair to the studio. Her passion for travel and design is reflected in the studio’s aesthetic—from natural woods to lime-washed walls inspired by a memorable trip to Mexico City.

After Brad started in a Leucadia garage, the duo expanded their vision with a studio in another home but this time in Oceanside, but they soon outgrew the space. Their journey led them to create a space that mirrors the inviting, home-like vibe of their earlier days—where, just like at the Oceanside home studio, Ella could be cooking while members gathered and created in a relaxed backyard setting.

At Raw Rhythm Ceramics, every element reflects their journey. The studio isn’t just a place to learn pottery; it’s an extension of their home—a warm, welcoming environment where creativity, inspiration, and community come together like family.
